TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory has hired investment banking, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) veteran Stephen Fromm as Vice Chairman, in a role that will see him focused on insurance industry M&A, capital raising and strategic advice.

TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory is the investment banking and capital markets arm of the reinsurance focused broker and capital adviser. The unit also works on insurance-linked security (ILS) related capital raising, structuring, broking and placement.
In recent years, Fromm has worked in private practice, advising a number of start-up and established financial technology firms (fintech) and financial services companies.
Fromm was a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Financial Institutions Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, where he worked on numerous high-profile insurance and reinsurance industry transactions.
Before that, he was Managing Director and Head of North American Insurance Investment Banking at Citigroup, again focused on providing advice to insurance and reinsurance clients.
He has also worked at Morgan Stanley as Managing Director and Head of Insurance M&A, at First Boston in the M&A Group and at Wasserstein Perella.
Fromm will be based in the TigerRisk New York offices.
