We returned in 2019 with the goal of demystifying the ILS market and furthering education on the resilience of an asset class, in the wake of two heavy catastrophe loss years. Of course we'll also look at emerging trends in the ILS market, as well as future opportunities for growth, with discussions kept relevant for the regional market in Asia Pacific and surroundings.
We looked at the way the catastrophe bond, ILS and collateralized reinsurance market responded to the catastrophe losses, what investment managers did to reassure their investors, how risks were reassessed and what needs to happen next to ensure sustainable and profitable growth of the ILS market.
The ILS business model continues to adapt to market conditions, providing new opportunities for both those in the ILS market and the third-party investors who find the asset class appealing.
With our events, we try to create the kind of conference that we would want to attend ourselves, mixing great speakers, insightful content, a forward-thinking outlook and quality networking.
The venue for Artemis ILS Asia 2019 is the Suntec Convention Centre. Venue details.

Programme and Agenda for the Day
The ILS Asia 2019 conference will be filled with insightful talks and panel discussions from leading ILS, reinsurance and capital market executives, with a mix of regional and international speakers.
This year we aim to help in demystifying the ILS market and furthering education on the resilience of the asset class, in the wake of two heavy catastrophe loss years. Of course we'll also look at emerging trends in the ILS market, as well as future opportunities for growth, with discussions kept relevant for the regional market in Asia Pacific and surroundings.
In 2019 we're delighted to welcome back the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and its speaker Gillian Tan who will be providing an opening keynote address on the day.
With Singapore already seeing tracton from its new ILS regulatory regime and three catastrophe bonds issued as of writing, we will also be discussing these issuances in more detail as well as the future potential for Singapore as a growing ILS hub.
As well as the opportunities to learn from our speaker faculty during keynotes and panels, Artemis ILS Asia 2019 also provides our attendees a perfect opportunity to network with senior decision makers across the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance market.
The agenda as it stands can be seen to the right. It will be finalised with full speaker details in the next few days. The day features a mixture of keynotes and panel discussions and we hope the audience will get involved with interactive question and answer sessions.
