Our theme for ILS NYC 2023 is (Re)construction and Renewal(s), which seems appropriate in the shadow of hurricane Ian, but also given the broader context of a reinsurance market that appears to be constructing new baselines for pricing and has been going through one of its toughest renewal seasons in years. At the same time, ILS investment managers have been working hard through recent years to construct performant portfolios, through the terms of coverage offered and risk selection techniques applied.
So, while the event will feature discussion on the ILS and catastrophe bond market recovery following another very major loss event, the ongoing construction of the ILS asset class will also be discussed and how learnings from the latest events can be applied, to broaden the ILS market's offering, making it a source of sustainable growth for investors and sustainable protection for cedents.
Discussions will range around how the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market resets itself for the future, the ramifications of large catastrophes, but also how ILS investment opportunities can and should be constructed going forwards and how ILS managers should be approaching renewals.
In the coming weeks we'll announce specific session topics discussing the future of the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market and our speaker faculty for the conference.
Expect forward-looking discussions between insurance-linked securities (ILS) industry experts, delivering the quality of content you've learned to anticipate from us at Artemis.
With our events, we try to create the kind of conference that we would want to attend ourselves, mixing great speakers, insightful content, a forward-thinking outlook and quality networking.
