Elementum Advisors announces new hires in legal and operations

Elementum Advisors, an independent investment advisor focusing on the reinsurance-linked investments space including catastrophe bonds, collateralized reinsurance, industry loss warranties and catastrophe derivatives, has announced two new hires which it says will significantly strengthen the depth of its legal, compliance and operational infrastructure. The two hires come from law firm Sidley Austin and Legal & General.

The first hire is Bobbi Anderson, who joins Elementum Advisors as Principal and General Counsel on September 10, 2012, and will then transition into the additional role of Chief Compliance Officer on January 1, 2013. Bobbi is currently a partner at Sidley Austin in the insurance group where she has been instrumental in shaping the direction of the Insurance Linked Securities asset class through the development of new risk transfer structures and her work with (re)insurance companies on catastrophe bond, collateralized reinsurance and M&A transactions.

The second new hire, Timothy Williams, joins Elementum Advisors as Director of Investment Operations on August 31, 2012 from his current role at Legal & General Investment Management America where he serves as Operations Manager and has responsibility for the oversight of all middle and back office investment operations.  Timothy has 13 years of investment and operations experience including senior roles at Black Diamond Capital Management and CNA Financial Corp.
