Pillar Capital Management Limited, the Bermuda-based specialist collateralized reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager, has appointed Jessica Ferreira as an Actuary.
Ferreira joins the investment management firm from KPMG, where she has spent nearly the last three years working within a variety of Actuarial roles in P&C insurance and reinsurance within the company’s Bermuda division.
She joined KPMG in December 2023 and took on the role of Actuarial Associate, serving in this role for 10 months before being promoted to a senior position in October 2024.
After spending a year in that role, Ferreira was then promoted to Actuarial Assistant Manager in late 2025.
Before she joined KPMG, Ferreira spent just under two years at financial institution firm FirstRand, where she worked as an Asset and Liability Management Risk Analyst.
Pillar Capital had over US $4.3 billion in assets under management as of the second-half of 2025.
Over the last year, the company has expanded its leadership team.
Last October, we reported that Pillar Capital had promoted Kevin Ronaldson to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Then, in December, the company hired former SS&C employee and ILS veteran Ken Mahadeo as Vice President, Operations.
