This report reviews the catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) market at the end of the third-quarter of 2024, looking at new risk capital issued and the composition of transactions completed during the period, as well as reviewing nine-month cat bond activity.
Third quarter issuance of $573 million was below the 10-year average for the quarter, but strong enough to take nine month issuance to a new high of $13.2 billion.
