Annapurna Re Ltd

Everest Group, the global insurance and reinsurance specialist, reported an increase in premiums ceded to Mt. Logan Re Ltd., its third-party capitalised sidecar-like structure in the second-quarter of 2026, while the company also disclosed ceding $274 million of written premiums to its new Annapurna Re casualty reinsurance sidecar vehicle.

Despite a surge in third-party capital assets under management within its Mt. Logan Capital Management unit, driven largely by the launch of the Annapurna Re casualty reinsurance sidecar, Jim Williamson, President and CEO of Everest Group has outlined that the company doesn’t change its underwriting logic based on the availability of third-party capital.

Mt. Logan Capital Management, Ltd. (MLCM), the Everest Group owned third-party capital management platform, has expanded its assets under management meaningfully over recent months, reaching $3.4 billion in AUM, helped by parent Everest’s launch of what was the largest casualty reinsurance sidecar to be launched in the market.

Everest Group has announced the launch of Annapurna Re Ltd., the specialty re/insurers first casualty reinsurance sidecar, revealing an expectation of deploying $600 million of third-party capital through the structure, while Stone Point Insurance Solutions is the anchor investor backing the venture.
