Bermudian reinsurance firm RenaissanceRe has promoted Matthew Neuber to the position of Corporate Treasurer, taking on the role from Aditya Dutt who remains the lead on RenRe’s Ventures business (which includes much of the firms ILS activities), as well as corporate development and M&A.
Matthew Neuber, already a Senior Vice President for RenRe’s Ventures & Corporate Finance, will be promoted to the position of Corporate Treasurer, subject to Bermuda Immigration approval.
In the new role Neuber will report to Robert Qutub, Chief Financial Officer.
RenRe’s previous Corporate Treasurer Aditya Dutt, who is President of Renaissance Underwriting Managers, Ltd. and Senior Vice President, Ventures, will remain in his roles with responsibility for leading on Ventures business, as well as key corporate development and mergers and acquisitions related activity.
The Ventures and RenaissanceRe Underwriting Managers activities encompass much of the reinsurance firms activities with third-party and insurance-linked securities (ILS) joint-ventures and investors.
“Since he assumed the responsibility of Corporate Treasurer in 2017, Aditya has advanced our treasury capabilities significantly,” explained Kevin O’Donnell, Chief Executive Officer. “As a vital member of our executive team, he will continue growing our industry-leading Ventures business and leading corporate development for the Company.”
Robert Qutub, Chief Financial Officer, also said, “Matthew is a talented executive who has worked closely with Aditya since joining the company in 2014. His appointment as Corporate Treasurer is a natural extension of his responsibilities and one for which he is well qualified. He has deep knowledge of our capital structure and strong background in corporate finance, which will help us to manage our increasingly global organization.”
Neuber joined has been part of RenaissanceRe’s Ventures Unit since 2014. In that time he has been instrumental in several initiatives across strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate mergers and acquisitions for the reinsurance firm.
Dutt originally took on the role of Treasurer at RenRe in 2017, in addition to his other senior responsibilities, after Todd Fonner departed the firm.
