Plenum Investments hires Kron for targeted Swiss institutional client expansion

Plenum Investments AG, the Swiss based specialist manager of catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds, has hired Raphael Kron, an executive with significant experience advising institutional clients in the region, as well as specific cat bond expertise.

Plenum Investments said that Kron joined the company on July 1st and will be tasked with further expanding its institutional client business in Switzerland.

He has more than 20 years of experience in advising institutional investors, especially pension funds, with in-depth expertise and importantly an extensive network.

Before joining Plenum, Kron led the institutional client team at Lombard Odier Investment Management for over four years.

Prior to that, he worked at international investment house GAM for more than a decade, where he was responsible for business with institutional clients.

In his position at GAM, Kron played an instrumental role in the introduction of insurance linked securities (ILS) and cat bond investment solutions to Swiss institutional investors.
