Jutta Kath to Chair ISC Switzerland

Jutta Kath, formerly of insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist manager Schroder Secquaero, has been appointed as Chair of ISC Switzerland, the countries branch of the well-known global insurance and reinsurance business community for women.

Kath departed from Schroder Secquaero this year and has since launched her own company focused on leadership and motivational coaching, and continued with non-executive roles.

Now, Kath has been appointed as the new ISC Switzerland Chair, having supported the ISC Group (previously the Insurance Supper Club) since 2016 and will now focus on helping to drive the agenda and development for ISC in Switzerland.

ISC Group is focused on supporting the retention, attraction and promotion of women in the insurance and reinsurance industry, aiming to move culture change forwards in the leadership of the industry and to improve business results for all through greater diversity and inclusion.

Kath’s new position as Chair of ISC Switzerland is expected to help unite women in insurance or reinsurance across the country, facilitating and providing opportunities for accelerated career progression.

Kath commented on the appointment saying, “Other women and I became more closely connected to ISC Group over the last six months, with its swift transition to online and broadcasting offerings. This enabled ISC Group to open their memberships to a wider audience, which myself and other women in the industry have benefitted from. I am honoured to be appointed the Swiss Chair and intend to work with our Swiss ambassadors to broaden the membership base and make the voice of ISC Group heard in Switzerland.”

The ISC Group has more than 1,500 members around the world, with operations in eight locations and more than 30 corporate partners, all working towards supporting women’s careers and opportunities in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

Kath has a distinguished 30 year plus career in reinsurance, with a particular focus on areas of transaction detail such as claims and the ongoing management of collateralised reinsurance contracts. She has been a regular speaker at our own events including  conferences and roundtables.
