Conoscente named SCOR Global P&C CEO as Peignet retires

Jean-Paul Conoscente has been named as the new CEO of SCOR Global P&C, the property and casualty underwriting division of the global reinsurance firm.

The promotion comes as the existing CEO Victor Peignet has announced his retirement from the reinsurance business, after 35 years of service.

Jean-Paul Conoscente has worked for SCOR since 2008, when he joined the company as Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Treaty for ther Americas.

He then took on the roles of CEO, Reinsurance at SCOR Global P&C as well as President and CEO of SCOR US Corporation, the firms U.S. reinsurance platform.

Conoscente takes on the role of CEO Scor Global P&C as of April 1st and will also sit on the Group’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining SCOR, Conoscente began his reinsurance focused career in risk modelling at EQECAT, after which he worked for Benfield leading their catastrophe risk modelling and then moved onto Paris Re managing property underwriting.
