The latest and third share placement for the for the Blue Capital Management operated, London Stock Exchange listed, Blue Capital Global Reinsurance Fund has been postponed according to an announcement.
The third placing under its current prospectus was expected to be completed this week but Blue Capital Management has chosen to halt the current process, according to an update posted to the London Stock Exchange yesterday.
No reason was given in the announcement for postponing the share offering, but it is possible that either the third placing was a reaction to the current placing program expiring in early April or that market conditions just aren’t conducive currently.
So the Blue Capital Global Reinsurance Fund remains at just under $180m in size for the moment but we expect a new placing programme will be announced in due course and further capital raising efforts will be launched later this year.
