Aon has announced the promotion and appointment of Tim Ronda to President of the firms U.S. Reinsurance Solutions business, with George deMenocal remaining in the CEO role of the broking unit.
Taking on the role of President of Aon Reinsurance Solutions in the United States with immediate effect, Ronda is based in New York and will continue to work with national and global property casualty insurance clients of the global brokerage.
His aim will be to help clients reduce their volatility and grow profitably through the various resources available within Reinsurance Solutions and the wider Aon business.
He has reinsurance expertise across business lines in Property, Management Liability, Errors & Omissions Liability, Employment Practices Liability, General Liability, Excess Liability and Workers’ Compensation.
George deMenocal, CEO of Aon’s US Reinsurance Solutions business, commented, “Having acted as CEO and President of Reinsurance Solutions’ US business for the past three years, now is the right time for me to hand over the President responsibilities to Tim. This will enable me to invest more time as CEO to continue to build and grow our operations, achieve our business targets in priority lines and ensure Aon United is deeply activated across the firm. I look forward to working with Tim in his new role.”

Ronda has 23-year’s of sector experience, most recently having acted as Executive Managing Director based in New York, and as Branch Manager for the New York/New Jersey region at Aon Reinsurance Solutions.
Before he joined Aon in 2005, Ronda was a Senior Vice President at rival Guy Carpenter, working with several of its largest East Coast and Bermuda-based Property and Casualty insurance clients.
