Mercury Capital hires Nathalie Rushe to lead origination and marketing

Share

Artemis has learnt that Nathalie Rushe joined Mercury Capital, the Bermuda based ILS fund manager, in September as Managing Director for Origination and Marketing. Nathalie, who has been consulting in the Alternative Capital space through Rushe Capital Advisers since leaving Hiscox in April 2012, has a deep understanding of the alternative market place.

Charlie Griffiths, CEO of Mercury, said; “Nathalie’s a great fit for us. Her broad experience covering structured credit, reinsurance underwriting, ILS portfolio management and fund marketing gives her a truly 360 degree view of the space. With great communication, a clear understanding of our industry, great insight into differing market participants and extensive contacts, Nathalie brings a highly valuable skillset. In this growth phase, I’m delighted to be joined by someone with the ability and desire to turn their hand to such a broad range of tasks.”

Mercury Capital launched the Mercury iCRIX Tracker Fund in Jan 2013 to track the performance of the Mercury investible Catastrophe Risk Index (hosted here on Artemis). We reported on the relative index performance in an article here last Thursday.

Nathalie noted; “I’m excited to be joining Mercury. With its uniquely transparent investment proposal, I believe it’s well positioned for growth.”

We understand the role affords Nathalie the freedom to continue her Rushe Capital Adviser activities to the extent that they don’t conflict with her responsibilities for Mercury.
