The insurance-linked securities (ILS) market is expected to remain supportive of investors in 2024, according to Twelve Capital’s Head of Investment Solutions Vittorio Sangiorgio.

Twelve Capital, the Zurich headquartered insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance investment manager, is forecasting “a longer-lasting heightened pricing environment”, or so-called hard insurance market cycle, with discipline one factor that can help sustain this.

One tranche of notes from the joint-largest private catastrophe bond issuance to ever hit the market, the $250 million Aquarelle Notes transaction, have had their maturity date extended, presumably to allow for development of qualifying catastrophe losses to identify whether this riskier layer from the deal could be triggered.
