TigerRisk Partners, LLC, the reinsurance brokerage, risk and capital advisory, has announced that Rob Bredahl has joined the company as President, Chief Operating Officer and a member of its board.
Bredahl departed from his latest role with total-return reinsurance firm Third Point Re just a few days ago, but is already set to surface as from mid-June in a new home at TigerRisk.
His appointment comes shortly after TigerRisk’s former President Tony Ursano was announced to be leaving the firm.

Bredahl’s career spans roles in reinsurance, broking and investment banking, with significant experienced gained in the application of capital markets structures and techniques in insurance risk transfer as well.
Bredahl was one of the co-founders of Third Point Re in 2012, holding roles including Chief Underwriting Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, before becoming CEO and President.
Prior to that, Bredahl was Chief Executive Officer of Aon Benfield Securities, Aon’s Investment Banking Group and the unit focused on insurance-linked securities (ILS) structuring and bookrunning, as well as President of the Americas division of Aon Benfield.
Before Aon acquired Benfield in November 2008, Bredahl held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Benfield U.S. Inc. and of Benfield Advisory.
He joined Benfield in March 2002, prior to which he was the Chief Executive Officer of Inreon PLC and Managing Director and Head of U.S. Derivative Sales for Barclays Capital.
