SS&C hires new Head of Fund Administration, Bermuda

SS&C GlobeOp, a leading provider of investment fund administrations services including to the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance market, has hired a new Head of Fund Administration for its Bermuda operation.

The Bermuda operation of SS&C is where much of its work in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds space occurs, having in the past acquired Prime Management which was one of the leading administrators and service providers to ILS funds in Bermuda and globally.

SS&C has hired and appointed Ken Mahadeo as the Head of Fund Administration for SS&C Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd., the local operation of the firm.

Mahadeo joins SS&C from his most recent role at Apex Fund Services Ltd., another provider of services to the ILS fund and reinsurance investments industry, where he worked in business development and operations management, as well as overseeing the regulatory and compliance functions.

Mahadeo has previously held roles at BDO Cayman Ltd., Prime Management (now SS&C Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd.) and BISYS Hedge Fund Services Limited.

He has more than twenty years of experience in the financial services sector, as well as specific experience in ILS and reinsurance fund operations and administration gained at a number of his past roles.

In the new role as Head of Fund Administration for SS&C in Bermuda, Mahadeo will be responsible for leading the development and growth of the firm on the island, as well as leading the qualified and experienced team based in the Bermuda office. He will report directly to Henry Toy, Managing Director, SS&C GlobeOp.
