SiriusPoint hires Kull as Chief Risk Officer from Bernina Re

SiriusPoint, the international insurance and reinsurance company that launched as Third Point Re and Sirius Group combined, has announced the hiring of a new Chief Risk Officer, in Andreas Kull, who the company has hired from Bernina Re.

andreas-kull-siriuspointBernina Re Ltd. is a Bermuda based reinsurance underwriting and transformer vehicle that was launched with capital from funds managed by Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies Ltd.

Kull joined Bernina Re as Chief Risk Officer in January 2020, prior to which he worked at Tokio Millennium Re AG (TMR) as Chief Risk Officer and a member of the Executive Board.

Before that he worked as Chief Risk Officer of AXA Winterthur and has also held roles at Ernst & Young, Converium and Zurich Insurance.

He will join SiriusPoint Ltd. on March 1st 2022 and as Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing its enterprise-wide risk management strategy.

Kull will be based in Zurich, Switzerland and will also become a member of the SiriusPoint Executive Leadership team, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Sid Sankaran.
