Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced that insurance-linked securities (ILS) veteran Jason Bolding has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gallagher Securities, the firm’s ILS and capital markets broker-dealer division, while Bill Dubinsky moves into the role of Chairman.
In his new position as CEO, Bolding is expected to play a key role towards expanding Gallagher Securities’ capabilities within the ILS market.
Bolding has been with Gallagher Securities since September 2022, when he joined the firm as Global Head of Sales & Distribution.
Before he joined the company, Bolding spent three years at Credit Suisse, where he served as the company’s Head of ILS, U.S.
Prior to that, he spent just under 15 years at insurance and reinsurance broker Aon, where he held the role of Managing Director, Aon Benfield Securities.
As Chairman of Gallagher Securities, Dubinsky, who has been with the reinsurance broker for nearly 15 years, will focus on enhancing the broker’s ILS product suite and driving strategic growth aligned with the firm’s broader vision.
Artemis spoke with Dubinsky around the launch of the firm’s January 1st renewal report, to gauge his thoughts on the performance of the ILS market in 2024 and what 2025 might hold for the space.
