Fermat hires Tiziani to strengthen investor relations in Switzerland and Italy

Fermat Capital Management, the specialist catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager, has made a new senior hire in Sandro Tiziani, to strengthen its investor relations and expand distribution reach within the Swiss and Italian markets.

Sandro Tiziani has joined Fermat Capital Management as Director, Investor Relations for Switzerland and Italy, bringing more than 18 years of experience in financial markets and established investor relationships.

Most recently, Tiziani worked for a decade at Bellevue Asset Management, a specialised asset manager based in Zurich with one of its core competencies being in niche strategies and alternatives.

Tiziani most recently worked as Head of Sales Switzerland at Bellevue and has advised Swiss and Italian clients, while generating a track record as a trusted partner to sophisticated institutional investors.

Before working at Bellevue, he held positions at Bank J. Safra Sarasin and Julius Baer.

Fermat said that Tiziani’s “proven ability to foster enduring, high-quality client relationships across multiple linguistic regions underscores Fermat’s commitment to providing localized and ILS-focused client service to its global investor base.”

The addition of Tiziani comes as Fermat has been building-out its investor relations function around the world.

In the last year or so, the ILS investment manager had added investor relations appointments across the UK, Germany, Spain, the US and APAC, beginning around the time of its launching of three Fermat commingled strategies in 2024.
