Elementum Advisors promotes three across operations & investor relations

Elementum Advisors, LLC, the insurance-linked securities (ILS) fund management and collateralised reinsurance underwriter, has made three promotions as it continues to strengthen its institutional quality ILS management platform.

Elementum Advisors managed roughly $4.25 billion of ILS and reinsurance-linked assets as of the end of 2021, putting it in the top-10 largest ILS manager groups, according to our Insurance-Linked Securities Investment Managers & Funds Directory.

The company has been building out a platform focusing on offering institutional quality in recent years.

These latest promotions look like a continuation of that, as Elementum promotes from within and builds out its investor-facing and operational capabilities.

Most notable among the new changes is Managing Director Andrew Lauer’s promotion to Global Head of Operations at Elementum.

Lauer joined Elementum in 2014 as a Fund Accountant, then became Treasurer in 2018.

As Global Head of Operations, Lauer has oversight of Elementum’s Investment Operations and Reinsurance Operations teams as well as the firm’s Treasury function

On the investor-facing side of the business, Elementum has promoted Adriana Denny to the role of Senior Vice President, Investor Relations.

Denny joined Elementum in 2019 as a VP Investor Relations, having worked on the investor client experience side of asset management with other firms since 2007. Her focus is on marketing, investor service and relations, fund administration, and investor reporting.

Finally, Elementum has also promoted Alexis Bean, who joined the company in Bermuda as a Reinsurance Operations Analyst in 2020. She has now been promoted to Reinsurance Operations Associate.

Bean previously worked at Validus, the Bermuda reinsurance arm of AIG, who she joined in 2013. Her role at Elementum sees her focusing on facilitating operations functions for collateralized reinsurance and industry loss warranty transactions.
