SCOR Investment Partners has appointed Sidney Rostan as its new Head of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), a role he will take on from April 1st, 2019 as previous Head of ILS Vincent Prabis is set to depart.
Rostan has been with SCOR Investment Partners (SCOR IP), the investing wing of the French reinsurance firm of the came name, since July 2015 working as a Senior ILS Portfolio Manager.
He will take charge of the ILS investment management business, which includes portfolios featuring catastrophe bonds and collateralized reinsurance contracts.
As a member of the ILS team and portfolio manager, Rostan has co-managed all of SCOR IP’s ILS portfolios and segregated account mandates, as well as assisting in the development of the business in recent years.
In total, the SCOR IP ILS management team looked after US $1.34 billion of ILS assets as of the end of February 2019.
As Head of ILS, Rostan will report directly to Fabrice Rossary, Chief Investment Officer of SCOR Investment Partners.
In addition the company announced today that Pierre Mouilhade, ILS Portfolio Manager, will take on additional responsibility for private ILS transactions that the manager enters into.
Reporting directly to Rostan, Mouilhade has worked at SCOR Investment Partners as an ILS Analyst and Portfolio Manager since June 2015.
He looks after the analysis and management of catastrophe bond instruments that the team investors in and has significant experience in the analysis of transactions, securities trading and broker relations.
In addition Grégory Scheffer has been appointed as an ILS Portfolio Manager for catastrophe bonds. He also reports directly to Rostan. Scheffer has been a member of the ILS team at SCOR Investment Partners since June 2014, and is an expert in portfolio risk modeling and monitoring.
The firm also expects to recruit a specialised analyst as well to further strengthen the ILS management team.

Prabis had been with Scor Investment Partners since 2011 when the firm launched its flagship Atropos ILS fund.
