Horseshoe makes two senior ILS fund administration hires

Bermuda-headquartered ILS and reinsurance management, servicing, risk transformation and fronting specialist Horseshoe Group has announced two senior hires with which it aims to strengthen its growing insurance-linked securities (ILS) fund administration offering.

Horseshoe Group has hired two SVP’s, Keenan Press as Head of Investor Services and Gordon Paterson as Group Manager, both in the Fund accounting unit. Both will be based out of Horseshoe’s Bermuda office and will hold key positions in the firm’s ILS fund administration business, which complements the strong position Horseshoe has in the collateralized reinsurance transformation and fronting business.

Press was most recently a Senior Manager and Compliance Officer at Continental Management Limited focusing on trust and corporate services clients. He has more than 15 years of investor services and compliance experience in the hedge fund sector. Before his time at Continental, Press spent a number of years at Opus Fund Services as Director of Client Services and Implementation, as well as Senior roles at Dundee Leeds and BNY Mellon.

Paterson joins Horseshoe from his most recent position as Head of Operations for Equinoxe AIS (Bermuda) Ltd where he managed the fund accounting and investor services functions for both traditional hedge funds and ILS or reinsurance Funds. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 13 years in fund administration. Before he worked at Equinoxe, Paterson was at Citi Hedge Fund Services Ltd as Assistant Vice President within the Fund Accounting department.
