Bermuda-headquartered ILS management, servicing, transformation and fronting specialist Horseshoe Group has joined the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) as a listing sponsor, through its Horseshoe Corporate Services Ltd. unit.

Effective as of the 20th February 2017, Horseshoe Group can now provide services to issuers in order to facilitate listing of securities, including insurance-linked securities (ILS) such as catastrophe bonds or reinsurance sidecar notes, on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).

Greg Wojciechowski, BSX President & CEO, commented on the news; “We are delighted to welcome Horseshoe Corporate Services Ltd. to the Bermuda Stock Exchange. What makes this development particularly exciting is Horseshoe’s focus and prominent industry position in supporting the international Insurance Linked Security (ILS) asset class.

“With over 175 ILS vehicles with an aggregate market capitalization of nearly $22bn, the BSX has emerged as the global leader for the listing of ILS vehicles and working with Horseshoe is just a natural progression to further supporting this asset class during its continued development.”

Horseshoe Group CEO, Andre Perez, added; “Horseshoe is excited to support the further development of the BSX by listing innovative ILS structures available to global clients. This new enhancement to our already broad capabilities reinforces our position as the leading independent service provider, insurance manager and fund administrator to both the ILS and alternative fund marketplace.”
