GC Securities, the capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) arm of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, has hired a new Assistant Vice President for ILS Structuring & Origination to its team, continuing its expansion.
Robert Bray joins GC Securities from his most recent role with Regions Securities LLC, where he began as an analyst within the Financial Services Group in 2014 and left holding the role of Associate.
Prior to his time at Regions Securities, Bray worked at Morgan Stanley as a Wealth Management Analyst for almost two years, prior to which he worked at Credit Suisse as a Relationship Associate.
Cory Anger, Managing Director, Global Head of ILS Origination and Structuring, at GC Securities told us, “GC Securities is continuing its ILS team expansion with the recent hiring of Robert Bray. He joins us from Regions Securities LLC (part of Regions Bank) where he spent more than 3 years in investment banking and left at the title of Associate.
“We expect to make further hires in the next several months.”
The structuring and issuance teams within reinsurance brokers and reinsurers capital market units are expected to come under increasing demand over the next year, as all signs begin to point towards an active issuance pipeline for catastrophe bonds and other ILS instruments.
