CATCo appoints head of investment operations

CATCo Investment Management, the Bermuda headquartered specialist investment business who manage around $2 billion of retrocessional reinsurance portfolios for their clients, has announced a new hire. They’ve hired Michael Toyer to the newly created role of Head of Investment Operations which will see him take on responsibility for the CATCo Group of Companies investment operations, including the management of certain external service providers.

Michael, has over 9 years of professional accounting experience with a strong record in reinsurance, hedge funds and financial services having recently held a number of senior accounting roles at Ernst & Young Ltd. and Prime Management Limited where he focused on Insurance Linked Securities based portfolios. Michael is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland having completed his training with Ernst & Young LLP. Michael will report directly to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Jason Bibb
