Specialist insurance and reinsurance linked investment manager Leadenhall Capital Partners LLP has raised a new injection of capital for one of its funds from an unnamed U.S. university pension fund.
U.S. university pension and endowment funds are increasingly interested in the insurance and reinsurance linked investments space, as they look for sources of stable return with low correlations to wider financial markets.
The roughly $20 million raised is part of the capital that has helped to take Leadenhall’s total ILS and reinsurance linked assets under management to the new milestone of $2.25 billion, as we wrote last week.
