Pillar Capital hires Jeff Franklin as SVP and Portfolio Manager

Bermuda-based insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance-linked investment manager Pillar Capital Holdings Limited, formerly known as Juniperus Capital, has announced a new senior hire to its catastrophe ILS and collateralized reinsurance portfolio management team. Bermudian Jeff Franklin will be joining Pillar Capital with immediate effect as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager from his most recent role with reinsurer Flagstone Re.

Franklin most recently served as Chief Underwriting Officer – International at Bermuda based reinsurer Flagstone Re, where he oversaw property cat pricing across Flagstone’s international offices. Franklin has more than a decade’s experience in the property catastrophe reinsurance arena, having started his insurance career at Ace Tempest Re in 2001.
