Tremor Technologies Inc., the programmatic insurance and reinsurance risk transfer marketplace provider, has announced its first dedicated sales hire, adding an experienced reinsurance broker from Willis Re.
Jeremy Ginter is joining Tremor as its new Vice President of Sales, a role that will see him tasked with driving sales and industry adoption for the venture backed insurtech company.
Tremor uses advanced technology to provide a marketplace and tools that make placement and transfer of insurance risks and reinsurance programs more efficient, allowing capital to participate on a level playing field by expressing rich risk appetite preferences, while cedants benefit from more efficient risk transfer execution.
Tremor has succeeded in generating significant industry traction already, having placed a number of high profile reinsurance programs and innovative transactions, and receiving investments from leading fintech focused venture fund Anthemis, ILS specialist Nephila Capital, re/insurers W. R. Berkeley and Markel Corporation.
Having recently announced the release of version 2.0 of its risk marketplace, featuring enhanced and more sophisticated quoting features, new analytics and broker tools to help them manage client relationships, Tremor is now focusing on driving industry engagement and adoption, with this first sales hire a key move in bringing more transactions to its marketplace.
Ginter has more than fifteen years of experience in business development and sales, much of it in the reinsurance industry.
In the VP of Sales role at Tremor, Ginter will oversee the development and implementation of the companies sales strategy, working alongside product, engineering and technology teams to translate Tremor’s value proposition to the broader insurance and reinsurance market.

Before joining Tremor, Ginter was a Senior Vice President at Willis Re North America, working with clients to provide unique, data-driven solutions and growth strategies.
He also served on the InsurTech team at the reinsurance broker, connecting and developing partnerships with and between incumbent insurers, reinsurers and technology-driven startups.
Prior to Willis Re, Ginter worked at MMIC in Minneapolis as a Business Development Consultant and also held Operations Director positions with startup companies Union Protein and mystride.
His career began as a reinsurance broker with Guy Carpenter and Collins Associates in 2001. Ginter officially joins Tremor later this month.
