The UCITS exchange traded catastrophe bond fund (ETF) that is being launched by specialist investment manager King Ridge Capital Advisors LLC is set to be listed on three major exchanges under the ticker symbol CATB, Artemis has learned.

Catastrophe bond investment funds in the UCITS format have continued to deliver strong returns for their investors through October, with the average 2025 year-to-date return for these cat bond funds running at 8.88% by the end of that month, according to the latest data from the Plenum CAT Bond UCITS Fund Indices.

With some months now passed since the ESMA recommendation regarding the eligibility of catastrophe bonds within UCITS investment fund structures, Daniel Grieger of Plenum Investments has highlighted how national regulators are not all in agreement.

Continued strong seasonality lifted the average 2025 year-to-date return of UCITS catastrophe bond investment funds to 7.25% by September 26th, according to the latest data from the Plenum CAT Bond UCITS Fund Indices.

Seasonality related to the Atlantic hurricane season, alongside still strong baseline risk spreads and collateral return all helped to boost the average performance for the Plenum CAT Bond UCITS Fund Indices to a 5.79% return year-to-date, as of August 29th 2025.
