Third-party investor capital under management in RenaissanceRe Capital Partners range of reinsurance joint-ventures and insurance-linked securities strategies rose to $8.54 billion by September 30th 2025, with the figure increasing by $450 million in the quarter.

RenaissanceRe, the global reinsurance company and third-party capital manager, has reported a 24.1% rise year-on-year in fee income earned from its reinsurance joint-venture vehicles and insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds in the third-quarter of 2025.

AM Best has updated its rating outlooks for RenaissanceRe and its subsidiaries, now seeing the reinsurance firm’s prospects as positive, rather than stable, citing improved performance, a more balanced business due to diversification, and of course the firm’s ability to attract third-party capital through joint-ventures and ILS partnerships.

The reinsurance market continues to provide attractive conditions for underwriting and Chris Parry, the Global Head of Capital Partners at RenaissanceRe told us the company expects this to provide ongoing opportunities for ILS investors, which will help the insurance-linked securities (ILS) sector to keep growing.

RenaissanceRe’s Capital Partners division saw its third-party investor capital under management surpass the $8 billion milestone for the first time ever, reaching $8.09 billion at June 30th 2025, which represents an increase of $940 million or 13% over the prior twelve months.

Driving home just how important the RenaissanceRe Capital Partners division has become to the global reinsurance firm, its CEO disclosed that the third-party and ILS capital management division has generated $700 million in fees for the business since the beginning of 2023.

RenaissanceRe, the Bermuda headquartered reinsurance company and third-party capital manager, has reported that its Capital Partners business generated record fee income from its range of joint ventures and insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds in the second-quarter of 2025, while profits shared with investors in the vehicles also rose to one of its highest levels ever.

Third-party investor capital under management at Bermudian global reinsurer RenaissanceRe’s Capital Partners division rose by roughly $770 million in the year to March 31st 2025, taking the total to a new high of $7.94 billion.

RenaissanceRe, the Bermuda based reinsurance firm and third-party capital specialist, is anticipating that its assets under management (AUM) across its joint-ventures and ILS funds will be “stable to up” over the rest of 2025, while fee income should resume its typical run-rate over the coming quarters.
