Orange Capital Re DAC Series 2021-1

The strong investor support seen for the first catastrophe bond issuance from Netherland’s based insurer NN Group, or Nationale-Nederlanden, shows the confidence the ILS investor community has in the insurers catastrophe management and underwriting, as well as in the modelling process, according to RMS.

Netherland’s based insurer NN Group, or Nationale-Nederlanden, has now successfully secured its first slice of catastrophe bond backed reinsurance protection, as the EUR 75 million  Orange Capital Re DAC (Series 2021-1) transaction has now been priced at the low-end of initial guidance.

The first catastrophe bond sponsored by the Netherland’s based insurer NN Group, or Nationale-Nederlanden, remains on target to secure the company EUR 75 million of collateralised reinsurance, while the price guidance for the Orange Capital Re DAC (Series 2021-1) notes has narrowed towards the lower-end.

NN Group, or Nationale-Nederlanden, has entered the catastrophe bond market for the first time, seeking to secure EUR 75 million or more in collateralised reinsurance from a first Orange Capital Re DAC (Series 2021-1) issuance.
