LGT Insurance-Linked Strategies

Swiss private banking and asset management firm LGT Group has restructured its actively managed insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance linked investment business under a new entity named LGT ILS Partners Ltd.

Swiss located insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance-linked investment management firm LGT Insurance-Linked Strategies has increased its ILS assets under management to an impressive $3.9 billion by the mid-point of 2014.

Swiss based insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance-linked investment manager LGT Insurance-Linked Strategies has added another $400m of assets by winning ILS investment mandates from three major European pension funds. It’s now a year since LGT acquired the ILS business from Clariden Leu and the team has grown its assets under management by 30% in that time.

According to a recently published update LGT Insurance-Linked Strategies, the insurance-linked securities and reinsurance-linked investment manager, has participated in another private catastrophe bond transaction. The transaction appears to have been completed recently and LGT participated as the sole investor.

Insurance-linked securities and reinsurance-linked investment manager LGT Insurance-Linked Strategies is the latest manager of catastrophe linked assets to say that, at this stage, it does not expect an impact to any of the investment positions or mandates that it holds from the Moore, Oklahoma tornado event of the 20th May.
