Global reinsurance company Swiss Re has appointed a Head of Portfolio Management at its new catastrophe bond focused SEC registered investment adviser, Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Advisors Corporation (SRILIAC).

Global reinsurance firm Swiss Re has set up a new insurance-linked securities (ILS) venture, launching an SEC registered investment adviser today named Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Advisors Corporation (SRILIAC), which will have a focus on catastrophe bond investment management.

As third-party or alternative capital managed continues to grow for global reinsurance firm Swiss Re, the company is keen to stress that this doesn’t mean any changes to its underwriting approach and standards, Philipp Rüede told us.
