The CATCo Reinsurance Opportunities Fund, which was listed on the London stock exchange late last year, has raised a further $7.4m by issuing shares to meet demand it has seen from investors. The fund is managed by CATCo Investment Management Ltd. who manage assets including insurance-linked securities.

CATCo Investment Management, who recently launched their Reinsurance Opportunities Fund and floated it on the London Stock Exchange, have announced that they don’t foresee any impact from the Australian flooding events on their funds portfolio.

In an update to the London Stock Exchange where it is listed, CATCo Investment Management Ltd. (recently launched collateralized reinsurance investment manager) announced that its CATCo Reinsurance Opportunities Fund (which trades on the LSE) has deployed 96.3% of the initial start up capital it raised at launch.

CatCo Investment Management, who launched in Bermuda earlier this year, has successfully become the first to list a dedicated catastrophe investment vehicle on the London Stock Exchange. The CatCo Reinsurance Opportunities Fund raised $80m from investors.

Catco Investment Management is set to launch in Bermuda during Q4 this year as a collateralised catastrophe reinsurance fund with $1b of backing. The fund is being launched by ex-Oxygen Re broker Tony Belisle.
