AXIS Capital, the global specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriter, has put a new reporting line in place for its insurance-linked securities (ILS) division AXIS ILS, with Group Chief Underwriting Officer Dan Draper adding that to his responsibilities.

Artemis has learned that Chris Caponigro, the Global Head of AXIS ILS, the third party capital unit of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital, is to depart the company this June.

AXIS Capital, the Bermuda headquartered specialty insurance and reinsurance company, has announced the hiring of Miranda Hunter as its new Head of Investor Relations, who will join the company from her last position with ILS asset manager Aeolus Capital Management.

Despite the fact the global specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriter announced a withdrawal from underwriting property reinsurance business, AXIS Capital intends to continue to build out its insurance-linked securities (ILS) operations, under the AXIS ILS brand.

Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has hired Chris Caponigro to serve as the Global Head of AXIS ILS, the company’s rebranded third party capital unit.
