Cooper had worked at Lloyd’s Bank for more than three decades, building a network of senior insurance and reinsurance industry connections, as well as links to the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market and investor-base.

He had been consulting for TigerRisk since the middle of 2019, but recently took a permanent position with the firm.

“Bill is unquestionably one of the foremost experts on capital and financing structures in the insurance markets,” explained James Few, CEO of TigerRisk UK. “He’s been a leading force in the London market and will be an invaluable asset as our clients navigate a wide range of challenges and opportunities.”

“I accepted TigerRisk’s invitation because of its reputation for creativity, customer advocacy and execution,” added Cooper. “TigerRisk’s holistic approach is exactly what clients need to help them navigate today’s complex marketplace.”

Cooper will be tasked with working with TigerRisk’s insurance and reinsurance clients, to help them optimise the whole of their capital and financing structure.

Cooper began his career at Lloyd’s Bank in retail banking, before moving on to the Corporate Recovery unit – Commercial Banking, and then taking on roles as Relationship Director and finally Managing Director and Global Head of the Insurance Sector at the bank.
