Leadenhall Capital Partners LLP, the London headquartered insurance and reinsurance linked investment manager, said that its Managing Partner and Non-Life Portfolio Manager Ben Adolph is to move to the firm’s Bermuda office.
At the same time, ILS fund manager Leadenhall said that it has made a new hire in London, to add additional risk management expertise.
Ben Adolph has worked for Leadenhall Capital Partners, an ILS manager with around $5.5 billion of reinsurance linked assets under management, since his hiring in 2013.
The Managing Partner and Head of Non-Life Portfolio Management at Leadenhall has now relocated from London to Bermuda, the company said, which it noted will complement its already well established coverage of the London market with a senior presence on the island.
Adolph commented, “This exciting development for Leadenhall will help advance a more complete coverage of the market by generating additional contact points with Leadenhall’s strategic counterparties in the major insurance linked and reinsurance hubs, but it does not signal a shift away from Leadenhall’s current investment sourcing channels which it will continue to develop further.”
Leadenhall has offices in London, Bermuda and the United States, but also benefits thanks to its joint venture with MS Amlin that provides it a presence in the major reinsurance hubs including London, Bermuda, Zurich, Singapore, the US and Japan.
Separately, Leadenhall said that it has hired Jason Flood in London as a Deputy Risk Manager reporting to Kunal Shah, Risk Manager at the ILS manager.
Flood joins Leadenhall from Altana Wealth, the London based hedge fund and he has also worked at Merrill Lynch in Dublin during his career.
