Kane, the largest global independent insurance manager and a leading providers of insurance-linked securities (ILS) administration services, has promoted employee Stephen Lister to the role of ILS Manager in Bermuda.
Stephen Lister has been a Kane employee since September 2011, when he joined the firm as an Account Executive, and was promoted to his new role in November 2013.
In the role of ILS Manager for the Kane Bermuda office Lister is charged with overseeing the activities of the Kane Bermuda ILS team, providing client management leadership for a portfolio of insurance companies with a focus on ILS clients (collateralised reinsurance and cat bonds).
Lister is also responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of Kane client companies, including the ongoing provision of accounting services, as well as business development of new client prospects.
Lister commented; “Since joining Kane, a major focus of my role has been servicing Kane Bermuda’s ILS business – which has grown significantly, especially during 2013. As a member of the Kane team, we have worked diligently on providing investors and sponsors with innovative solutions and services, and I believe we have played, and continue to play, an important role in the growth of the jurisdiction’s alternative reinsurance market.”
Prior to joining Kane in Bermuda, Lister was a Corporate Finance business analyst at Aviva UK General Insurance, having joined the firm in 2007 through its graduate training programme.
Lister added; “2014 will hopefully be another exciting year for both myself and the Kane Bermuda team and I look forward to having the opportunity to further expand my knowledge and meet more market participants during the year.”
