Insurance and reinsurance broker Howden’s capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist unit, Howden Capital Markets & Advisory (HCMA), has hired Paul Poschmann from Gallagher Re as Vice President as it continues to expand in Europe.
In his new role based in London, Poschmann will support HCMA’s Global Head of ILS Distribution, Patrick Gonnelli.
He joins after more than three years with reinsurance broker Gallagher Re, where he started as a Reinsurance Broker in London, later becoming US Secondment to the Philadelphia office, and most recently a Divisional Director.
During his time with Gallagher Re, Poschmann had a focus on client relationship management of single territory to global insurance and reinsurance clients, placing business globally with reinsurers, Lloyd’s of London, and also ILS funds.
He was also a core member and key part of the Steering Committee of the International Property Practice and engaged in numerous strategic advisory projects for large and complex clients of the firm.
Poschmann joined Gallagher Re following its acquisition of Willis Re, where he served as a Reinsurance Broker for more than three years from august 2018.
