Horseshoe, the Artex-owned Bermuda-headquartered insurance or reinsurance management, fund administration and insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist, has hired Ben Wright as a Senior Vice President, Insurance Management.
Wright joins the company after working at Ernst & Young (EY) in Bermuda for more than a decade, where he gained asset management, insurance-linked securities (ILS) and insurance or reinsurance management expertise.
Wright began his career working at Grant Thornton as an auditor in the UK.
He then moved to Ernst & Young, working as a senior auditor to begin and then as a Manager focused on asset management.
More recently, Wright transitioned into a new role at EY with a focus on asset management, ILS and insurance or reinsurance.
Horseshoe said that Wright will be responsible for the delivery of the company’s client servicing objectives in Bermuda.
Horseshoe is a market-leading ILS service provider, with an offering across a range of activities specific to the ILS market and those writing collateralized reinsurance.
This includes having one of the most prolific risk transformation reinsurance vehicles in Horseshoe Re, as well as broader ILS and reinsurance specific management, fund administration and servicing.
The company was taken over in late 2019, after entering into a strategic acquisition by AJG’s Artex Risk Solutions.
