Horseshoe expands to offer insurance-linked security SPV services in Ireland

Horseshoe Group, an independent insurance manager and advisor with a focus on the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and catastrophe bond market is expanding its operations to Ireland which will give them a platform to expand their ILS and cat bond administration services into Europe more easily.

The new entity, Horseshoe Management (Ireland) Limited, will focus on administration of cat bond SPV’s and other ILS structures such as sidecars and transformers, providing services such as (but not limited to):

• Acting as the Administrator
• Provision of Directors
• Acting as registered office
• Preparing and filing of all the necessary returns and reports of the SPV
• Preparation of financial statements
• Dealing with claims under the Collateral obligations
• Monitoring collateral levels
• Answering queries from investors and coordinating with sponsors

A new hire will be leading Horseshoe Management Ireland, Thomas Heise, joins the group and will be responsible for overseeing the Irish operations and developing a European platform for providing insurance management and advisory services. He has more than ten years experience in insurance, reinsurance, collateralized reinsurance, and insurance securitization.
