Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has appointed property catastrophe retrocession and collateralized reinsurance specialist, Matthew Flynn, to the newly created role of Head of Global Clients for its Global Specialties business.
Flynn brings more than 20 years of industry experience towards his new role, and rejoins the firm from Renaissance Re, where he most recently served as Head of Property Catastrophe – Assumed Retro and UK Property.
Between 2011 to 2018, Flynn worked at Guy Carpenter, where he served as a Managing Director and Senior Broker, specialising in property retrocession for London, Bermuda, and global clients.
Flynn, who is based in London, is expected to start his new role in the coming months.
Flynn will report to James Boyce, CEO of Global Specialties, and will join the Global Specialties Leadership Team.
In his new role, Flynn will be responsible for advancing Guy Carpenter’s strategic value proposition for this client segment across Global Specialties.
