Elementum Advisors, LLC, an alternative investment manager that specialises in collateralized natural catastrophe event reinsurance investments, has announced five promotions within its business, the most senior of which involves Andrew Lauer being promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Elementum Advisors has regularly promoted from within as the firm that manages portfolios and funds of catastrophe bonds and other insurance-linked securities (ILS) looks to raise up performing staff and ensure a robust operational structure at the firm.
The latest round of promotions at Elementum include Andrew Lauer, who was made a Partner of the firm back in 2023 and was the Global Head of Operations.
Now, Lauer, who has worked for the company since 2014 in treasury and operations roles, has become Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Elementum Advisors, taking on a C-Suite position at the specialist ILS manager.
Next, Zack Terzich has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Investments at Elementum Advisors. He has worked at the firm since 2018 as a VP of Investments.
Susan Vitale has also been promoted to Senior Vice President and the ILS managers’ Treasurer, having previously been VP of Treasury since joining the company in 2021.
Lori Schuler also becomes a Senior Vice President in her role as Corporate Controller at Elementum Advisors, which she has held since 2018.
Finally, Tom Cannan has been named Corporate Accountant and Officer Manager at Elementum, having worked at the firm since 2021 as office coordinator and bookkeeper.
The moves show a company looking to reward its performing staff, while ensuring continuity, operational rigour and future succession planning is considered.
