Broker Aon has announced the hire of Catherine Turner from AXA XL to its Reinsurance Solutions division, where she will take on the role of Head of UK Property.
Turner will also become co-leader of the Aon Reinsurance Solutions UK & Ireland and Specialty Casualty business, alongside Richard Evans.
Turner joins Aon Reinsurance Solutions with more than 20 years of experience in property the reinsurance market, gained in roles working on both the broking and underwriting side of the business.
Most recently, Turner held the role of Head of International Property Treaty, London, for underwriter AXA XL.
She was previously an Executive Director in the UK & Ireland team at reinsurance broker Willis Re.
During her career, Turner has also held positions at Trans Re and QBE Re, underwriting property treaty reinsurance business.
Turner will report directly to report to Peter Stubbings, Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer of Global ReSpecialty.
Stubbings commented on the hire, saying, “Catherine represents a tremendous addition to our team.
