Aeolus Capital Management Ltd., the specialist insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance investment manager, has announced the appointment of Ross Cooper as a Risk Analyst, based in Bermuda.
Cooper joined the organisation in November last year and recently completed a six-month placement in Aeolus Capital Management’s graduate internship program.
During his internship, Cooper was actively involved in reviewing, modeling, and organising data for underwriters.
As well as this, he also contributed to the development of new tools designed to provide underwriters with alternative perspectives on hurricanes making landfall in the United States.

Earlier this year, Aeolus hired Giorgio Scrocca from OdysseyRe in London as Assistant Vice President (AVP), Underwriting.
Last year, Aeolus also made a series of key hires, including Maya Henry, who joined its Business Development and Investor Relations team, and weather and climate meteorologist, Dr. Chris Hennon, as Senior Research Scientist, along with Dia Bhatia from investment bank J.P. Morgan, also to the Business Development and Investor Relations team.
