Company profile:
Azimut Investments SA is the Luxembourg branch of Azimut Group. The ultimate parent company is Azimut Holding SPA that is listed in the main index of the Italian Stock Exchange (AZM.IM). Azimut Group acquired Eskatos’ business in 2011 and completely integrated this business with Azimut Investments SA during 2019. Overall, the Group manages about €80 billion (mainly through mutual funds investing in traditional stocks and bonds) and around €50 billion are managed from Luxembourg.
Azimut Investments SA manages two investment funds active in catastrophe bonds and traditional reinsurance: AZ Eskatos – Multistrategy ILS Fund with AuM of USD 200 million; and AZ Fund 1 – AZ Alternative – Cat bonds with AuM of roughly USD 55 million.
Team size and structure:
The team dedicated specifically to the management of these two strategies is composed of four people. At company level, the investment management team is composed of about 100 portfolio managers and analysts.
