First-time catastrophe bond sponsors by quarter and year
This chart displays a visualisation of the number of first-time catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) sponsors by quarter and year, based on data from the Artemis Catastrophe Bond & Insurance-Linked Securities Deal Directory.
With this chart you can view and analyse the number of new sponsors that entered the market each quarter and year, across pure 144a catastrophe bond deals; other cat bond like deals featuring specialty, life, mortality risk, etc; and private cat bond lites or private ILS deals.
You can filter the chart to remove quarters by clicking on the legend. So, for example, you can view the trend in debut catastrophe bond sponsors for a single quarter, or half-year, by deselecting and removing others. Click them again to add them back in.
Note. This data is kept current and this chart is regularly updated as new catastrophe bond and similarly structured insurance-linked securities (ILS) deals are launched.
The data to create this chart is taken from the Artemis Deal Directory so does include some private catastrophe bond transactions, as well as any life, specialty, mortality or longevity insurance-linked security deals and private ILS issues that we have tracked.
Every effort has been made to accurately reflect the number of first-time catastrophe bond sponsors and the period where they sponsored their debut cat bond deals.
