RenaissanceRe reported a 209% increase in fee income earned from its range of reinsurance joint venture vehicles and insurance-linked securities structures in the first-quarter, while investors benefitted from meaningful income and opted to take profits after the strong performance of these strategies.

RenaissanceRe Capital Partners, the third-party reinsurance capital management and insurance-linked securities (ILS) unit of the Bermuda-headquartered reinsurance firm, has promoted Roger Beach to Vice President in the Business Development and Investors Relations function.

Third-party investor capital under management in RenaissanceRe Capital Partners range of reinsurance joint-ventures and insurance-linked securities strategies reached a new all-time high of just over $9 billion at the end of 2025, before dropping slightly as 2026 began and the manager returned profits to some investors.

Kevin O’Donnell, the CEO of reinsurer and third-party reinsurance capital manager RenaissanceRe, said today that none of the firm’s investor supported joint-ventures entered 2026 any smaller than they were last year, leading to an expectation of relatively stable fee income ahead.

RenaissanceRe, the global reinsurance company and third-party capital manager, established a new catastrophe bond managed account named the Stratos Fund in the second-half of 2025, raising $260.4 million for it, while increasing assets in other third-party capital and ILS vehicles and lifting fee income 31.8% in the fourth-quarter of the year.
