Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of the independent broking group, has announced the full deployment of its advisory and structuring capabilities dedicated to Brazil’s Letra de Risco de Seguro (LRS /Insurance Risk Letters) market, utilising locally licensed Special Purpose Securitisation Entities (SSPE).

The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association’s (TWIA) reinsurance renewal for 2026 is fully-committed by markets and expected to be signed in the next couple of days, while Allen Cashin of Gallagher Re said that the competitive auction-like process the broker employed has resulted in the “optimal structure at the lowest price.”

The Travelers Companies, the US property & casualty insurance giant, has now successfully priced what will be its largest catastrophe bond sponsorship ever, securing $750 million of multi-peril reinsurance protection from the new Long Point Re IV Ltd. (Series 2026-1) issuance, Artemis can report.

Listings of catastrophe bonds and other insurance-linked securities (ILS) soared in the first-quarter of 2026 for the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) and it further grew its market share, as total cat bond and ILS listings on the BSX reached over $68.5 billion.

The successful closing of Spinnaker Insurance Company’s second catastrophe bond, the $100 million Mountain Re Ltd. (Series 2026-1) issuance, reflects parent company Hippo Holdings’ ability to return to the capital markets and execute at favourable terms, according to Rick McCathron, President and CEO of Hippo Holdings.

Allstate is now focused on securing a $200 million four year source of Florida catastrophe reinsurance protection with its latest catastrophe bond, as a three year tranche of notes has now been dropped from this Sanders Re III Ltd. (Series 2026-2) issuance, Artemis has been told.

Mangrove Property Insurance continues to target between $100 million and $111 million of named storm reinsurance protection from its debut Buttonwood Re Ltd. (Series 2026-1) catastrophe bond sponsorship, but the company seeks to capitalise on investor appetite and has lowered and adjusted the price guidance for the notes on offer again, Artemis has learned.

Oak Global, the specialist Lloyd’s underwriting company, is in the catastrophe bond market as a sponsor for the first time seeking protection from the capital markets through a $75 million 144A issuance of Arthur Re Ltd. – Quercian Re 2026-1 cat bond notes, Artemis understands.
